Not being able to eat mushrooms and asparagus or cook with onions and garlic seemed so shocking (even devastating) at first, since I always figured those were extremely healthy foods. I had to get over it and find alternatives so that I wasn’t only eating carrots every day.
When it comes to veggies and fruits I usually buy organic for those on the dirty dozen (http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/ALB00035/The-Dirty-Dozen-Foods-You-Should-Always-Buy-Organic.html) or if they are questionable.
And garlic infused oil is amazing to cook with!
