My life in food has been well-lived in wonderful and terrible ways. Now, in my late 30s, I am living with SIBO and likely some form of post infectious IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) that goes along with it in the chicken and egg cycle of gastrointestinal disorders.
First and foremost, I am NOT a doctor, dietitian or even in the healthcare profession. I am just someone who is navigating my way through a very confusing and difficult disorder. In my experience, SIBO is something where the doctors can only point you in the right direction but you need to research, analyze and treat yourself for the most part.
I encourage everyone to see doctors and do their own research. This blog is documenting my research and cooking experiments in case it can get put to good use for even one more person who suffers from SIBO. I’m hoping no dairy, no soy, no gluten, no grains, no sugar, no additives, no fermentable foods, etc. doesn’t mean no fun. My goal is to make some food SIBO-licious so that we can feel joy instead of fear when eating.
I love this article and blog, i will share it with my friends.
